AS-0643 Pull Type Boxing Solenoid – 24V DC High Reliability Design

AS-0643 24V Pull Type Boxing Solen
How it Works
The pull-type boxing solenoid, denoted as the AS-0643, operates through electromagnetic attraction. When a DC voltage is applied to the solenoid, an electric current flows through the copper wire, and as a result, a magnetic field is formed around the bobbin. The magnetic field subsequently causes an intense force of attraction, which pulls the ferromagnetic plunger in a linear motion toward the solenoid.

The moment the power supply is turned off, the magnetic field collapses. There is an integral return spring that causes the plunger to return to its initial position, thereby putting the solenoid in the idle state. The solenoid ensures fast action, high repeatability, and precise control.

FAQ – AS-0643 24V Pull Type Boxing Solenoid

1. What is the operating voltage of the AS-0643 solenoid

The AS-0643 is powered through 24V DC. Nonetheless, we can support different voltages such as 12V DC and other DC values depending on the OEM and ODM design.

2. Is AS-0643 a pull-type solenoid or push-type solen

This solenoid is a pull-type solenoid. When the solenoid is switched on, the plunger is pulled inside the coil. There is a return spring that returns the plunger to its original position once the power is switched off.

3. What is the duty cycle of this solenoid?

The duty cycle depends on the application and the duration for which the solenoid has been energized. The AS-0643 solenoid can be used for intermittent, periodic, or continuous duty, provided the operating limits are not exceeded.

Could you please be specific about your requirements for the duty cycle when you inquire?

4. Can AS-0643 solenoids be used continuously?

Yes, it can, but to run continuously, there are design considerations and management of power and heat. Our engineering team can be consulted to achieve 100% duty cycle or ways to minimize the current, if needed.

5. What could be applications of AS-0643 solenoid?

This solenoid can be used in lock mechanisms, industrial automation, robots, vending machines, as well as amusement machines, such as pinball machines.

6. Is customization available for this solenoid?

Indeed! We also offer OEM/ODM customization services, including voltage, stroke, force, mounting type, connector type, housing type, and optimization of the duty cycle.

7. What is the definition of the pulling force?

The force produced by the solenoid depends on the stroke length and the voltage. The force produced depends inversely on the stroke length. We can offer the force-stroke relationship if required.

8. What is the coil and the plunger made of?

The coil is made from high-purity copper wire. The plunger, however, is made from either ferromagnetic steel or magnetic alloys. The reason for this choice is that these materials are capable of effectively conducting magnetic flux.

9. What is the expected life of the AS-0643 solenoid?

When driven under the appropriate voltage, duty cycle, and environmental conditions, the solenoid can withstand millions of cycles, thereby making it an appropriate option for both industry and business applications.

10. How do I select the solenoid suited to my application? To better serve you, we need to have the following parameters:
Voltage
The force you need
Stroke
Duty cycle
Ambient temperature
Installation restrictions

Our engineering team will then recommend a solenoid that is best suited to your application.
