Product Description

Working Principle of Smart Door Lock
A smart door lock is composed of a solenoid valve and a lock body. When current flows through the solenoid coil, the valve generates strong electromagnetic force, driving the iron core (plunger) to move linearly and pushing the lock bolt toward the door frame—achieving controlled extension and retraction of the lock. When power is cut off, the electromagnetic force fades, and a spring returns the lock bolt to its original position.
Electromagnetic smart door locks are categorized into normally open and normally closed types based on design:
Normally open (power-off unlock): Locks when powered on, unlocks when power is cut off.
Normally closed (power-off lock): Unlocks when powered on, locks when power is cut off.
Both types are practical for real-world applications and configurable to meet specific requirements.
Key Specifications
Working Voltage: DC12V/24V, low power consumption (current: 200-500mA)
Response Time: Ultra-fast (<50ms), ideal for instant unlocking demands
Core Design
The energy conversion (electricity → magnetism → mechanical force) relies on optimized coordination of coil turns, current intensity and core materials (e.g., soft magnetic alloy).
